7/26 - Barefoot'n in Canada

O, Canada!
Barefoot'n is now in Canada! It has been quite an adventure, from being stuck in Waterford, NY for 3 weeks, to traveling through the Champlain Canal with VERY low bridge clearance, ....
and high water conditions in Lake Champlain that caused flooding in some of the marinas.

But there were still beautiful and interesting things to see along the way!

Not sure what this is!!

We're not in Kansas anymore Toto!

Canadian Customs in Quebec was no problem.  They were very nice and gave us some helpful information.

And then on to Montreal!  What a beautiful city and so much history.  You felt as though you were in Europe with the cobblestone streets, historic buildings and outdoor cafes.

Bicycles seemed to be the popular way to get around and they offer a great system of renting bikes.
Guess what they make?

Outdoor cafe dinner

I was lucky to have my birthday in Montreal.  I was treated to a horse drawn carriage ride through town and an awesome dinner at an outdoor cafe.
Birthday carriage ride for me!

The Basilique Notre Dame was just awesome!  We went to a nightly show at 8:00 pm depicting the history of the founders of the church and then we were treated to a wonderful light show and the grand finale is below.  The picture doesn't do justice.

And as much as we loved our visit to Montreal, it was time to move on ....and the adventure continues!
Bon Jour ya'll!
